am- wow this is cool. 1st blog post of 2018. thats cool. anyway sorta good sorta sucky run today. i kinda felt suuuuuuuuuuper horrible when i finished but felt pretty decent during. pickups as well and they were reallllllllllllllllll good.

partied w/ my home dawgs ry and py last night. we're pros at mario kart and at takin shots ;)) (not real shots dont worry guys)

pm- idk my mileage cuz I forgot to wear my watch lol but gooooooood run. death run today and it was good. i went out not looking to win but to have a good paced run and stay in for awhile. kept a good pace throughout and worked on my form. it still looked pretty terrible I feel like, but I tried. I was just gonna go out after ness but then I sprinted a whole lap and passed caroline to stay in for one more. finished up the run w/ ry towards artic circle cuz everybody else left and ry came back 4 me hahaha. ry's a rlly fun person to talk to. oh and my knees were killllllllllin on the rest of the run. 

oh I got knew classes today and I have some good ones but I couldn't be more #mad rn. me and ry had the best spanish class on the earth and we had sooooooo much fun and senor looooooved us hahahah. any way we're in different classes now and it rlly sucks. that's all

pm- idk my mileage once again but that will change shortly. 6 minute test today. it was decent. i most definently didnt do good but i didnt do suuuuuuuuuuper bad i guess. during i felt pretty good. my arms hurt a lot and my knees just a little but after and before my knees were absolutely KILLING MEEEEEEEEEEEEE. they hurt soooooooooooooo bad especially on striders. thats ok ill get back into it. im ready for a good season of track.

pm- 75 minutes w/ a few pickups

well today was rlly good and i was finally gonna know my mileage buuuuuuuuuuuut i pulled out my watch right before practice and.... it was dead :/ #bummer but hopefully it'll be allllllllllllll ready 4 tomorrow. todays run was rllllllllllllllly good. turkey farm is my absolute fav run and i especially love it when its cloudy up on top. 

it was rlly cold outside today and i was #notprepared so i did warmups in my sweatshirt so when we left to go run i was like "ah i gotta go put away my jackettttttt cuz i cant run in this" so i hurried and went to put it away. meanwhile everybody left and we yelled at them to wait but apparently no one heard cuz no one stopped :/ me and ry eventually caught up to some of the girls (including caroline, gracie and jada) and ran w/ them for awhile and then me ry and caroline just ran together. gooooooooooood conversation the whole way and a real good run.

oh and my knees hurt at first but then they felt better and then i told coach about um hurtin and he reminded me of the stretches my mom showed me and told me to do them. that was very helpful cuz i literally forgot allllllllllllllllll about those but now i remember and will do um.

oh and the way out felt suuuuuuuuuuper good and then we flipped and it was freeeeeeeeeeeeeezing

pm- shortish trail run todayyyyyyyyy. not a fan of trails as some of you may know...but i actually enjoyed today. dont get me wrong, i rlly love nature and such, i just dont like runnin on the dirt and rocks and trippin' all the time ya know. even more than trail runs i hate hiking, a lottttttttttttttt. thats one reason why i reallllllllllllllllly love four wheelin cuz i can be out in nature, go rllllllllly fast and i dont have to even touch the dirt or rocks or trip at all. anyway today was good. only one knee hurt today, buuuuuuuuuuuuuut it never went away like it did yesterday so that was kindof a #bumma but i think its fine. fun talking w/ add and then ry, py and robs on the way back. theyre good people.

i sorta played guitar a lil bit today. all we did was learn how to hold it an learn about the strings and such but i didnt hate it so thats good. oh but my fingers killlllllllllllllllllllllll

pm- I LITERALLY SPENT 50 HOURS JUST BARELY TO WRITE THIS WONDERFUL WORK OF ART AND I EXPLAINED THE WHOLE WORKOUT AND STUFF...AND I ACCIDENTALLY JUST DELETED IT ALL.

basically the workout was wonderful. its my fav workout. my knees hurt A LOTTTTT and thats all. 

ALSO I FOUND OUT LAST NIGHT THAT ME AND TOBY KEITH HAVE THE SAME B DAY AND IM SO HAPPYYYYYY !!!!!!!! probably no one cares but me because everyone hates country music apparently but toby keith is the bombbbbbbbbbbbbbb and i am soooooooooooooo happy rn lol

pm- fine run today. my knees were killing from the very start. even last night they just killeddddddddddd. flipped back with add, ness, gracie and jada and did 40 with striders. i rlly hate cuttin my minutes but ahh my knees just hurttttttttttttttt. iced when i got back and currently they feel a lot better but i know theyre still gonna hurt tomorrow. i keep doin my stuff tho, hopefully itll help eventually. haha funny thing, while we were doin striders gracie jokingly said "tough it up jess" but ya know what my knees hurt from the very beggining and i toughed it out for a whole 45 minutes so i think its fine lol

pm- realllllll good run today !! 20 minutes warm and then a 20 minute tempo on the track. real good packing and a real good crew. last 5 minutes was just me jace and ell but it was good and we were haulinnnnn at the end. my knees did #hurt but definently not as much as yesterday. thought i might have to do a bit less cuz they were hurtin but i sucked it up and did all my run. #glad i did cuz theres no reason not to. finished with a 15 minute cool.

went to the game later. it was fine. boys played good but not good enough i guess. chilled for a sec with my homies and that was cool too

am- idk how many miles cuz i just had my watch on timer mode buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut about 80 minutes out on suicidal tendencies. lots of the guys showed up but only me add, ry and py showed up for the girls. thats alright tho cuz i actually rlly like smaller group runs cuz its fun to talk and stuff ya know. i tripped prolly like 17 times but luckily only fell once. i scraped up my knees and they were bleeding and stuff but they didnt hurt. howeverrrrrrrrrr i also fell on my hands and they like didnt get scraped at all but they killllllllllllllled. ate some delicious donuts after and then went home. oh also we saw some hells on the trail

am- weights and 15 minute run. benched for the first time in awhile and my arms hurt soooooooo soooooooooo much but its a good kinda hurt that makes ya feel good even tho ur arms hurt if ya know what i mean hahahah

pm- 50 minutes into washington. real good run but my knees were KILLING MEEEEEEEEEEEEE. usually its my tendonitus that hurts but today it was like my bones and stuff. i guess when i fell yesterday i mustve hit my knees pretty hard on the rocks cuz they rllllllllllllllllly hurt. it especially hurts to stand up and stuff. toughed it out tho and did all the run. just me ness ry and robs for the whole thing but it was good.

oh also we started some new warm up things today and i like um. i wanna get better and be faster and i think these are gonna help quite a bit

oh also, today was a rlly good day. then in the last 2 minutes of school james and mitch took my waterbottle and put soap in my water and sprayed cleaner into the top of it. that made me a little mad but now ive decided that i think its actually fine and ill just clean it and we'll be ok. just know that you should never do that to someone cuz its kinda mean i think

one more thing...go search john butler ocean on youtube and then watch the video that comes up. im gonna be like him when i grow up

pm- got left again so 10 warm by myself :'( then the same workout as last week. it was alright. i did notice however that my tendonitus gets better throughout the week to where it isnt hurting constantly and thennnnnnnnnnnnnnn workout wednesday comes and the first part of the workout is good and then by the end im limping and then on thursday the whole run is a painful limp. next week ill prolly cut out a bit. i dont rlly know what to do other then what im already doing. iced after as well

harold tried to be mean to me on purpose so id put him in my blog but i cant remember even what he did but ill make his dreams come true anyway

oh today was good cuz even tho i was late to ceramics and mr papa got mad at me, i centered my clay on the wheel today and he said that im one of the kids whos "ahead of the game" so thats cool cuz i usually suck at things like that haha

oh also i finally (after waiting like 3 months) put my school record into the record thingy today!!! that was cool

oh one more thing haha. i finally decided to wear short socks to school and it was a terrible decision that i regret very much cuz my shoes rubbed a whole lot and then when i went running it started bleeding and it rllllllllllllllllllllly hurt

am- weights, exercises and skipped out on the run cuz my knees are #killing me today :((

pm- sprint warmups, distance warmups, jumpy fast thingys and beast and feast thennnn 30 minutes on the football field with alli and boston. iced after too. i rlly hate cutting minues but ive realized that ive been icing and doing exercises for 4 months and ive still got tendonitus. obviously its not working so i better try somethin else. also i think im starting to get plantar fasciitis in my left arch so that sucks and i might get some inserts to help that

s/o to alex g hill cuz hes an adult todayyyyyyyyyy!!

also rn this very second i just had one drop of blazin sauce and my mouth and ears and throat are literally on fire. s/o to miles for eating like 865,468,235,245 drops

pm- pretty sucky day tbh as for the running part i mean. just everything that could be going wrong kinda is but #glad that its happening now and now a week before state cuz right now i have time to just get allllllllllllllllllllllll better. the run itself wasnt bad. ran over to the middle school and did like 10 minutes of tempo (w/ no stops cuz stopping rlly hurts my knees) and then ran back. 30 minutes or so and thats it. my knees hurt the more i went and my arches and left achilles hurt at the end. also my shin hurt just a little while walking to the trainers office but i think itll be fine. #hoping i can get all better quick

on a more "positive" note... school was good. i did bad on a test but i did good in ceramics and spanishhhhhh. also i had cake w/ my lunch and thats alwayssssssssss good :))

am- 38 or so minutes haha. knees werent hurting too bad but i didnt want to make anything worse. other than that nothing rlly hurt today so thats good. ran at ell's with jenna, alli brown, sylvia, addi, ell, ry and py. all of them went 50 so i had to run back alone which was kinda #sad but it was good. rlly wished alli or caroline came so i could run back with them but it was fine hahah. had about 10 or so minutes before the girls got back so i just went to the park by ell's house and did exercises and stretched. tried to do some more single leg squats but i could only do um on my left leg cuz my right knee still hurts reallllll bad to bend from falling on monday haha. also it was raining and it was rlly cold but i also like running in the rain so it was fun. then ellies mom made us tonnnnnnnnnnnnns of waffles and bacon and hot chocolate and now im chilling by the fire at my home writing this lovely blog

just thought id add what ive been up to today just in case your interested lol.... me and brook played minecraft for a little over 6 hours and watched like 10 home videos hahahah. also it rained alllllllllllllllll day long and i #rlllllllllllllllllllllly love the rain so today was good

prolly around 53 or so minutes w/ alli baker, ness, and ry. knees werent hurtin super bad but ive noticed when i go real long when they arent hurtin too bad...then they rlly start to hurt. still gonna take it easy for a few more days even tho im feelin a bit better cuz i usually feel a bit better and then all of the sudden i cant run again. (hopefully that made a little sense haha) iced when i got back and then almost froze to death hahaha and then went home

am- weights, exercises and icingggg

pm- ran mustang pass. i usually #hate mustang pass as it is my very least favorite trail run...however, today i quite enjoyed it tbh. 43 minutes by myself basically. bro i felt like i was goin so fast buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut #slow run today. i guess its not too slow for a trail but i sure didnt like how it looked on my watch lol. got back a lil early so i ran around the neighborhood for like 7 minutes or so. knees felt pretty good today !! however they did start to hurt when i flipped then they felt better and then towards the end they hurt quite a bit. oh my stomach hurt tho due to not packing a very big lunch due to forgeting to make it last night and then waking up late but it wasnt anything that "held me back" or anything haha. overall reallllllllllll good run

later---its been a few hours since ive blogged and i forgot a few things.

1st since i blogged earlier my right heel has started hurting and a muscle kinda by my shin. but im gonna ice and roll in a sec so hopefully it goes away

also i wanted to s/o jenna cuz she is doing soooooooooooooo good !! i love watching her run everyday !! she pushes herself to do her best all of the time and i just thought that was cool :))

pm- workout wednesday today but did a "modified" workout half w/ alli baker and half w/ coach. idk what the deal was today. the first part of the day i had lots of energy and such and then today in math everybody just struggled. i all of the sudden felt soooooooooooooooooooo tired and caleb even fell asleep (hahah and it was pretty funny tbh). got out to practice at like 52 and layed on the turf for like 15 minutes. finally felt awake once we warmed up and i felt all better haha. workout was pretty good. modifing it made my knees not hurt as much as they usually do which was good but they definently still hurt for most of the workout. 2*(3 min tempo, 2 min thresh, 2 min cv w/ equal recovery) one set w/ al and one with coach. not rlly hard but knees did hurt a bit. cooled down and then iced. oh also when i iced i was coloring my beautiful picture that i had worked hard on in seminary. meanwhile jose was tying my shoelaces together and then rylee dumped both of her ice bags on my head which got my twistables all wet, got me and my hair all wet, and ruined my beautiful picture :(( then some nice people were helping me up and i accidentally smacked my head on the rail and it hurt very much. were having good dinner tonight tho so im happy again. thats all. have a good day :))

am- weights, exercises and iced

pm- idk mileage but about 47 minutes or so 4 me today. honestly felt sooooooooooo good considering how i feel on most thursdays. usually i can do like half of the run and im limping the whole run but today i felt tremendously better. knees still hurt, but not even close to how much they usually do. "hillyish" run today as we went and checked out our hill circuit thingy that were gonna do sometimes. good pace (i think) the whole time and form feeled pretty good. solid run today

oh also some part in my left leg was feelin real weird at school and parts of the run like it was gonna give out on me so that kinda sucked

also today i established that jenna and kylee are my favs

pm- most miles 4 quite awhile lol but glad im kinda getting back up there. went over to the middle school so tempo repeats. altered my workout a bit tho and did 8 minutes of tempo w/ 2 min recovery and then 7 minutes of tempo and then jogged around w/ robs for like 10 minutes and headed back. last week i only did 10 minutes of tempo and this time i was tryna get up to 20 so i was gonna do a 5 min rep after the 7 but the last few minutes of the 7 were killin my knees so i decided i better call it quits. 

side note: school was real good today and then at lunch a few people, who i will leave unnamed, filled my waterbottle and the water in it, with chocolate milk and hand sanitizer. i was actually pretty upset the rest of the day because i like to be hydrated and also cuz thats just kind of a dumb thing to do to someone who youre supposed to be friends with :/ eventually i wasnt super mad but yeah just dont do that.

also me and logan preformed in guitar for the first time today and it was rlly scary but we got air heads after so it was #worthitttttt

oh also tonight was the first night ive ever had fun and actually cheered good at a basketball game hahahah :)) annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd we almost won...but then we didnt

pm- 60 w/ ness. knees felt pretty good today. i can definently feel them improving which makes me very happy cuz i gotta get back on the grind soon haha. did about 40 on the road and then did like 20 on the turf, barefoot. a little #sad cuz turkey farm is my fav and i didnt get to go to far up but it was still a real good time. i love runnin w/ ness, shes my real good buddy :)). hip was bothering me a bit at the first but felt better as we went on. also my arches are starting to bother me even more. they dont hurt as much as they have in the past, but rn in my home as i walk around they hurt a lottttttttt. #sad cuz i actually rlly dont want to get inserts and wear running shoes to school even tho i used to everyday hahaha. besides the minor aches and pains felt pretty good today thats all byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

oh today was real good. 1st it was a short day, 2nd me and ry and carofine had costa vida 4 lunch, and 3rd in math we concentrated real good and i actually know whats going on and got some problems right !!

pm- 40 minutes on the t-bone trail. good run other then the super sandy parts cuz those are #hard to run on but it was good. short meeting after about a swag book we read. heard some very good insights

oh also me and ry formed a wonderful duo called the rjhpp which stands for the rylee jessica hilt positivity pact... so if you need a little positivity in your life hit us up cuz were gonna be positiver than ever :)) 

also this morning before practice i sliced my finger (again) w/ a knife while cutting an apple then i went to weights w/ my finger gushing blood cuz i couldnt find a band aid and alex was gonna leave me lol

pm- 45 around green springs. a few of us picked up the pace on the way back. some still got mad at us for going faster but a few joined us. glad to see this "conflict" resolving hahah. talked w/ jada py and jenna most of the time. jada did a real good job today and #proud of jenna and py. you can tell they want to be better. theyre rlly steppin up and working hard and it makes me happy :')) knees felt pretty good today which makes me happy as well. hopefully theyre actually getting better haha

pm- 66 minutes on the river trail. 5 minutes before practice however to "warm up" my knees. kept a good pace the whole time which i was glad about. various paced repeats throughout which were fine as well. knees felt pretty good today. way out was better than the way back tho, i think they hurt more as i go on but they felt better than usual. also this makes me very sad and happy at the same time but i went the longest ive gone in prolly 2 1/2 weeks or so maybe even 3 so that was good. k thats all. peace out

pm- rootbeer mile today. i #hate the rootbeer mile. 1st: i hate rootbeer, it is literally thee worst soda on the earth, that makes it kinda hard lol. and 2nd: my stomach is pretty dang small and i usually cant even drink a whole soda. i was kinda excited for it tbh but the excitment left me as soon as i cracked open the can. my goal was to finish because last year i only got 2 1/2 cans and 2 laps down until the time limit was reached and i had to stop. i did worse this year. i only got 2 1/4 cans down and 2 laps. but still a small victory for me tho cuz i drank more than one can haha. cooled down a bit after but my knees hurt a #lot so i flipped back pretty early and iced. oh also i noticed that i do pretty fine when running w/ a belly full of rootbeer and its just the drinking part i cant do. i would catch people on the running part but then my knees would hurt and hold me back a bit hahaha. i #suck, at the rootbeer mile

am- 20 minutes !!!!!!!!!! first morning run in a loooooooooooooooooong time.

pm- 70 minutes (i think) !!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is by farrrrrrrr the furthest ive run in what feels like forever !! going into the workout i was rlly dreading it but it was soooooooooooooooo good !! also it felt sooooooooooooo good to finally do all of a workout and feel good !! 10 warm, 5 tempo and then 2*1200m, 2*(400m, 400m, 600m) all at cv and then 1 hill circuit and handoffs. today was thee besttttttttttttttttttttttttt

am- 10 warm, 5 tempo, 4*1000 and then a 400 and 600 and then cooled to 60 minutes. met at 8:30 and only me ellie, jenna and alli brown came but it was good and we all had a partner for our workout so that was good. when i first saw the workout i thought it was four thousands and one 400 and one 600 but then i got some texts cuz everybody was a little confused which made me think it was 4*(1000, 400, 600) so we did that and after one rep as we started the next we realized we were already at 40 minutes so we were prolly doin it wrong haha. hard but pretty good workout. all the runs this week have felt rlly hard but despite it being a workout, the runs seem to be getting a little better everyday. also my back rlllllllllllllllllllllllly hurt. k thats all byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

am- 45 up buena vista blvd and through the tunnels onto the dirt mile, ran there for a sec and then back the same way. haha funny thing is i always do this run when i have to run by myself and i rarely run in my neighborhood cuz although i love when we run to green springs im kinda sick of it once saturday (or friday) comes hahah. plus its got a slight, super easy and unnoticable incline the whole way out but then the way back its allllllllllllllllllllll downhill ;) felt the best ive felt all week and it felt rlly good outside and i got to sleep in a bit hahah. good run !!

am- 75 in washington. suuuuuuuuuuuuuper good run !! big confidence builder. ive done longer runs and stuff before but since getting back on the grind after being injured ive only done 2 full long runs and the last one was the suckiest run of my life @lastweek. i #rllydidntwanttowakeup but i got up nevertheless and went. the first bit i was thinking a bit negatively because i wanted to go back to bed and all i could think about was the super hard, long run we had left. once we hit maverick hill i powered up that (cuz i like to get it over with quick hahah) and then we grouped up and started the "workout" part. 2*5 min of easy tempo (7:40?) then 2*7 min tempo (7:20?) and then 1*5 min thresh (6:40?) all w/ 2 min recovery. all of those a lil hard but real good !! personally it feels wayyyyyyyyyyyy better for me to go fast also i dont like people being in front of me or on the side of me because i feel super closed in hahhah. i love going fast cuz it makes me feel like im working hard but also makes it way easier haaha. down the hills i actually didnt get behind like i usually do cuz it rlly hurts my knees to go downhill. it still hurt them quite a bit but i just kept going and didnt let a dumb knee restrict me. hahah shin hurt a little tho cuz brook threw a snow boot on my shin yesterday. knees hurt a tonnnnnnnnnnnnn throughout the day but not in the tendinitus way but in the middle of them. it doesnt worry me tho cuz ive got bad knees anyway and a knee disease so no matter what i do theyll prolly hurt forever lol

pm- pv invite !!! i was planning on not being in the fast heat bc none of the pv kids thought we were gonna be and then allve the sudden everybody was like "jess you have race in 40 minutes" and i was like well crap that kinda sucks cuz i thought i didnt race for a while haha but i realized that was actually good and so then i was postitive. my nerves went up about 76% when i was told i was in the fast heat cuz i was ranked 2nd to last and i rlly rlly didnt want to get last. luckily i didnt hahhahh and i did a lottttttttttttttttttttttt better than the last race lol. not my best ever, however it does make me happy to know im getting better from my dumb injuries and if i trust in the system i can keep doing better. the race itself was alright. but it was good and gave me a big confidence boost.

also last night i had a dream that we were on our long run which was in the desert and the certain spot in my shin that has been hurting was KILLINGGGGG. i was w/ like 2 other people and i turned around to see where everybody was at cuz we were a lil bit ahead and they had turned a different way w/out telling us so we turned around and tried to catch them and soon ran into alex and carson and had caught up to the other girls. by that point i couldnt run anymore and i could hardly walk but everyone left to continue their run and it was just me, alex and carson but i was like at least theyre here but then alex all of the sudden had his car and they got in and drove back to the hs and left me to die (not rlly die but i had to try to get back to the school w/out walking so yeah hahhaa). then i woke up and my shin did hurt just like in my dream. luckily it didnt hurt on the run but it did hurt this afternoon which was a bummer. also just to let yall know, its just a tiny part where it feels like a knife is stabbing into my shin/lower knee area.

pm- workout !! 10 warm, 5 @ easy tempo, 2*800m @ cv, 4*400m @ 1600 pace (1:14-19), 4*200m @ 800 pace (35-36), 1 hill circuit and cooled to time. good workout !! lots of positives !! paces were either right on or a little quick but pretty good and on the 200's i usually struggle cuz im not as quick in the short stuff but i hit the times on all of um ! jogging to the hill circuit and the hill circuit was killer cuz my right shin hurt a lot but luckily it didnt hurt much during the workout. good run !!

am- weights and a lil run. usually i always kinda "freshman race" myself at the end of runs cuz i like to go fast and cuz i hate running by people and today i just wanted to get outta the tight group so i sped up just a lil and gracie challenged me :)) hahahah fun run

pm- 40 easy. my shins and knees freakin hurt. also today was just kinda one of those typical thursday runs where ur legs are tired as shiz but it was fine. iced after and did handoffs for the medley. pumped 4 tomorrow :))

also math was actually rlly fun today cuz half the class had to leave 4 ccr so it was just me haven and harold in our lil group and were all nice to each other hahah. also the paper we did today was suuuuuuuuuuuper easy and we finished it real fast and then miles came in and we talked about blazin sauce and minecraft for the rest of class hahah 

also i wrote a song about slime and it is very very good so hmu if u wanna hear it but i prolly wont actually sing it to you cuz it just has to happen naturally but you can still try if you want.

am- 20 easy and iced my shins and knees cuz they #hurt a lottttttttttttttt

pm- hurricane invite !! warmed up about 10 minutes (a lil short cuz we were a lil late) and then raced. did alright. came in second to jacey and i felt like the race was pretty good but the times were not so hotttt. coach said he thought we all had good races tho. cooled down a lil bit and later ran the 400 in the medley. i didnt think i did too bad but apparently i did pretty bad ig haaha.

am- nice chill long run. i almost didnt look at the workout cuz every time i do its the same run as before. however i did check and i literally jumped all around the house cuz i was so happy to have a chill long run hahah. 60 minutes w/ 5 minutes of easy tempo and then straight into 10 minutes of 10 seconds slower than cv pace. just me and ell basically but it was good. 5*30 second hills after and those were fun and easy. they used to seem so hard but now their one of the easiest thing we do i think hahah. good run !!

pm- panther relays !! i did the 1200 in the distance medley (with jada, rylee and caroline) and then later i did the 4*400 w/ jada, jenessa and jacey. hahah weve always wanted to do this relay together cuz its the dream team, quadruple j hahhah. then later i did the fat mans relay w/ brianna, gracie and jada and we did pretty decent lol. it was literally a mad houuuuuuuuuuuuuuse. went to frostop later with py jace chika jenna ness anna and evan. good day :) also there was a baseball game going on so they were playing country music and it was the besttttttttttt hahah.

am- short run. i was a lil late and i woke up feeling sick and terrible so it wasnt the best run. took a nap in the locker room after for like 50 minutes and i still feel rlly bad so thats cool

pm- i honestly felt sooooooooooooooo terrible alllllllllllllll day. chills, body aches, sore throat, mucus all that sucky stuff. so if you thought i was faking i literally was not lol. tried to do as much running as i could, but 15 minutes was the limit. #bummer

am- well i came to practice but i most definitely shouldnt have. i felt sooooooooooooooo horrible. i tried to lift some weights but i had to sit down on the floor every second bc i was too week to even stand lol. finally resulted to stretching out in the hall bc at least i could sit down while doing that. skipped out on the run as well

pm- 40 minutes. pretty good run. not a whole lot of body aches or chills today which was good but ive still got a sore throat which makes it hurt rlly bad in my nose and throat when i breathe which sucked. also ive been rlly congested today and have had a suuuuuuuuuuuuuper runny nose but i at least felt a lil better today. we finally got our new uniforms !!! theyre sickkkkkkk

today i made a rlly sucky bowl, dissected a frog and cut its skin open and saw its liver and heart and fat and eggs and lungs and everything else thats in a frog. also we got to cut its leg open and i squeezed its calf and it was mighty buff. i almost puked tho. also i just barely drove on the freeway for the very first time and i used to be rlly scared but i wasnt scared and it was muy fun :))

am- weights and a different 15 min loop than usual cuz i wanted to do somethin funner todayyy

pm- 10 warm, 5 @ easy tempo, and then (200, 400, 800, 400, 200, 400, 800) all at 3200 pace w/ the 16/32 crew consisting of me ell ry and caleb. coach had us cut the last 400 & 200 cuz it was real hot today. then 400 @ 1600 pace, 200 @ 800 pace and a 300 @ f-pace. the 200 @ 8 pace was my BEST 200 of all time !!! not that it was suuuuuuuuper speedy but im usually a few seconds slow and i was a few fast and instead of getting slower i like flung off that turn and it was like something was pushing me and it was sooooooooooooooo easy to keep getting faster and faster !! few laps of cool after. real good workout !!

also robs told me it looked like i was a lil more positive today and i pointed and the baseball field right next to us. they were playin some realllllllllllllllllll nice country music and it was the bestttttttttttttttttttt. and even tho i couldnt even breathe i still was singin while i ran cuz it was just too hard not to. country music is the best k bye

pm- 50 into green springs !! ran the way out mostly with just robs and the way back was mostly ell me and robs w/ a lil bit of addi. suuuuuuuuper hot and a hard run but i kept pushin cuz honestly that makes it a lil easier hahah. good run, fast pace, lots of positives :))

chilled at ry and pys for a bit l8r and then i got home and i was chillin w/ my father and brooklyn and eatin my pizza and then we saw a bird zoom past real fast and then we heard a loud thud. 2 birds (a lil one and a big one) smacked into the basketball hoop and fell to their deaths. the little one died instantly and the big one was still breathing but was chillin on its back, which is bad. the interweb said to get it off its back so we did but it has blood on its face and is still barely surviving #prayforthebirdy :'(

am- 60 minute mid distance run. got to do turkey farm which is my favvvvv run !! pushed up the hills and pushed the whole run w/ robs. honestly such a goooooooooooooood run !! 6 fast striders after which were sooooooooo good

pm- we were gonna do big grass loops which i love very much but after one everybody left to go run on the road so me and ry just finished up on the road cuz apparently nobody else like grass loops except 4 us hahha. good run tho

pm- good workout in the rainnnnn hahahh. 10 warm, 5 @ easy tempo and then 3*600m @cv pace all w/ 2 min rec, 4*400m @ 3-4 seconds faster than 1600 pace w/ 2 min rec, 4*100m @ 400 pace w/ 2 min rec on 3 and then full on the last one, and then 1*300m @ f-pace, cooled for like 10 minutes after to get to 65 minutes. the rain was freezing and we were completely drenched but it made the workout a lil easier cuz we recovered a lot faster. also since my shirt was soaked it weighed like a billion pounds and down the last 100 meter stretch the wind hit us harddddddd but we altered where we started and avoided it for the most part. pretty satisfied with this workout, it was a good one! i usually dont do to well on the sprints but i stuck in there and tried my very hardest. good workout w/ lottttttttttttts of positives :))

also i had a very traumatic experience at school today and its to hard to write on here or get the full story experience so hmu if ya wanna hear it. no joke i think imma need some counselling after today

pm- 30 min easy run. ran out to water wheel park and came back through sandbergs. played in the stream for a sec. also me and py talked about our youtube plan where we become rich and famous haha. real good run! funnest run in awhile. its nice to just not worry about the time or the pace and to just go have a fun run every once in awhile :)

much better, non traumatic day today lol. also the sr ball assembly was today and brook escorted alex and it was rlly cute :') also there were sooooooooo many cute lil children escorting their siblings and it was prolly the cutest thing ever i think

pm- short run w/ a few striders. like addi said in her blog, everyone was yelling but in my opinion the yelling was for a very good reason. i wont tell the full story cuz that would take forever and plus id get riled up again so.... anyway, all of the boys in math say im the "little sister" therefore they try to make me mad and/or dont talk to me (occasionaly theyre nice to me). one of them who usually isnt the dumbest one knew exactly what to say to make me mad and he started going off on how running isnt a sport. well basically that was the stupidest thing ive ever heard in my whole life. he told me running requires no skill or hard work whatsoever and you dont even have to do any form work like you might have to in like tennis (his sport) or basketball or something. 1st of all to be a good runner you have to work you butt off, 2nd we never stop trying to improve our form, everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. he said lots more stuff and i was about ready to punch him in the face. k then i was goin down to the locker room and i saw corbin and addi. i asked them if they thought running was a sport and of course they said yes and then i started telling them the whoooooooooooooooole story which riled me up very much. meanwhile colton and rylee had joined the party and listened to how upset i was. then i went into the locker room and was telling the girls in there the story right as jada walked in YELLING ABOUT HOW HE HAD SAID THE EXACT SAME THING TO HER. then we were both upset and yelling and then gracie and pyper walked in and were yelling cuz a teacher had been saying THE SAME THING. basically we all had the same experience today and we were all mad and yelling. after awhile we all chilled out and the funny thing is the the boy who said that stuff does think running is a sport and he just said that to make us mad. congrats buddy, youve succeeded. the rest of the run was real good and the kids meet was good too. k peace, hope you enjoyed my fun story of the day.

am- 55 in sandy. at first we were on this super fun paved trail and it was sooooooooo fun!! like i actually loved it and it was my fav run of all time! robs asked if we should turn onto a woodchip trail or keep going on the paved so i told him paved and we kept going and then all of the sudden somebody said to go on the trail so we had to turn around and run on the dumb trail. it was fine but ruined the best run of my life :/

pm- region !! ran the 3200 which was muyyyyyyyyyy buenooooooo. it was suuuuuuuuper hot so right before our race we wrapped ourselves in ice water towels and it was quite fun tbh. also i dumped ice water on my head. ran my very best race of the season! time wasnt super good but if it woulda been cooler and not a massive temp spike then my time woulda been about 20 seconds faster. real good race for me id say. glad i could battle better than usual. definently still not running as well as i would like to but it was a good push.

oh and carson gave me a present from their trip to oregon and he gave me a banana slug toy thing and i love it hhaha. banana slugs are my favvvvvvvvvvv. if you ever go to the bottom of oregon/top of california (redwood forest area), look for banana slugs cuz theyre everyyyyyyyyyywhere and theyre awesome ahhhaha

am- idk how many miles but we ran 70 minutes and went up around maverick and into the desert. 4*1min pickups in the middle w/ 4 minutes rec and they were suuuuuuuuuper good. hard but good run and our group stayed mostly together.

oh then after practice me and julien and colton played basketball for a bit w/ a flat ball but it was fun and then while we were waiting for the captains to finish their meeting, me and julien went over to jenna and pyper and carter and bentley and jason and we started talking about charlie and the chocolate factory and willy wonka. my argument was that johnny depp was in charlie and the chocolate factory and jenna thought johnny depp was in willy wonka so she bet me 5 bucks and confidently i took the bet and also, not part of the bet but we argued about this too, she thought that charlie and the chocolate factory came out first and i knew that willy wonka came out first so i went home and looked it up and i was right and i knew i would be cuz i used to watch charlie and the chocolate factory every night and i was in the play willy wonka hahah. now i get 5 dollars yay me ahhaha

the rest of the run was soooooooooooo hard but eventually we got back and then i went home and took a nap. good day haha

story time: this morning i woke up and got in my running clothes and then all of the sudden my upper leg/ hip area started hurting soooooooooooo bad. it felt like i was getting a billion shots every second everywhere on my leg. i was grabbing it and doing everything i could to try to make it feel better but it just wouldnt stop. i kept complaining to my mom and telling her how bad it hurt but she just thought i was going crazy so she said thats strange and i dont know what to do about it. then i went downstairs and layed on the floor for a sec and tried to find out what it was. i thought it might be that my shorts were to tight or something and my leg was falling asleep but it wasnt so i kept complaining an went upstairs and my mom was like "try to stretch your hip flexor". so i did and then my mom looked in the mirror and saw a scorpion walking across my shorts and she started screaming and was throwing stuff at my and i immediately screamed and tried to shake it off my body and then i ripped off my shorts and threw them across the bathroom and squished that idiot. it was traumatizing and i cried for awhile cuz i was so freaked out. even though it hurt, the fact that it was in my shorts and was crawling on me freaked me out more. it hurt for awhile and stopped stinging around 12 and it only hurts when i touch it now. oh and my dad re-sprayed the house so hopefully that wont happen again hahah

am- SANDHILL !!! the sandhill is suuuuuper hard and i kindof dread it but ive noticed that i kinda prefer it over like a regular long run. i like the route (even tho its on the dirt and i HATE trails) and its fun in a way. made it up in 12:29 (which was almost a 3 minute pr !!) and down in 7:20 (which is almost a 2 minutes pr !!) everybody did sooooo good today and it felt sooooo good. the rest of the run was real fun. me and ry ran w/ ell and jos who came to visit today and it was just like old times :) i missed them

am- 10 warm and then the hurricane 5k. pv represented very welllllll. most of the race was pv hahah. ran w/ alli for a little more then a mile and then i caught up to boston and me and him ran together for the rest cuz he said "ah this sucks. now i have to stay with u the whole time cuz that would be embarassing". then at the end i was a little in front and it was a sprint to the finish. i ran as fast as i could but he barely barely beat me lol sad day. got 1st girl which i was happy about but the times always suck there so thats a bummer. but we all did good i think and it was a goood first race

am- long run up Turkey farm. felt real good at first and had a good group of me sylvia sarah alli and alli. then it was time to flip I felt so so sick. I tried to stick in there for the rest of the run but I actually thought I was gonna die and have to walk back. cut off 5 minutes and went home and got some meds and now I feel good. also got new shoes and they felt real nice

PM- 15 or so minutes and beast and feast. ended early cuz my knees and shins hurt so I went and iced for quite awhile.

pm- beast and feast and 50 minutes on the river trail up to Sullivan. holt ran w us today along w robs and beatey (idk how to spell lol) but that was good. I like when holt runs with us too. pushed it on the way out with sylvia coach beatey and myself (and alli for part) and it felt reallll good. I discovered that coach beatey loves country music just as much as me and we love allllll the same artists too. she's my fav now

holt had me al and sylvia slow out pace down a little and stay behind the other girls and work on packing together and we helped push the girls back up to where they needed to be if they started to struggle. good pack and did a few more minutes with just holt and me after. good day of running :)

am- 20 minutes inside cuz there was lighting and thunder all night and it continued this morning. also lots of roads flooded and it was stormy a lot of the day so that's swag

PM- workout on the grass at the school cuz the dirt mile was muddy and we couldn't get to BHNP cuz of the flooded roads. 10 warm, 5 at easy tempo and then 2*4:30min @ 3k pace so about 6:00-6:fish, 9ne with alli and then one with holt cuz level 2s sat one out. then 2*1:30min still at 3k, and then 1*2:15 @ 3k. last one was pretty hard but the rest was all pretty good. cooled for like 10 minutes after and iced. still a lil cloudy and it wasn't super hot so that was swag. good day

am- woke up at 430 for no reason and then was like whatever and got all the way ready and then i went back to sleep and woke up at 450 and then went back to sleep and then my alarm didnt go off at 505 and I woke up at 532. woke my dear swag mom up and we drove around for awhile looking for everybody but had no luck. finally decided if I went home then I could at least get most of my run so I went home and ran with my mom and Sally. knees hurt a lil at first but it was a realllll good run and I talked and talked and talked hahah.

pm- workout!! headed to heritage park since we were on lightning alert so we couldn't stay by the school. 15 warm up, last 5 at easy tempo, then 1*1:30 @ 3k pace w/ equal recovery. then 1*10:00 @ 5k pace + 20 seconds so mine was like 6:10-15ish. 3 min recovery on that and then 2*1:30min at 3k to finish it up. 20 minutes of cool after to get to 60 minutes. workout felt really good today. my legs felt suuuuper tired before we started but they always seem to feel better when I go faster and faster. led the girls and tried to help keep the pack together by doing roll call and stuff. packing was better but we still have a lot to work on. pleased with my 1:30s cuz it proves to myself that I do have speed, along with endurance, even tho I dont usually think I'm that "fast". good workout and lots of positive things happening

also I went to young womens AND did homework and that's something you don't see very often. good day haha

am- 20 minute easy run pm- REGION CROSS!!! 10 or 15 warm idk and then the race!! started off strong cuz I like to race at the front the whole time. led the whole race and when bailey and sam started to gain, like they usually do. I kept pushing and didnt give up. sometimes I notice myself settling when they are catching up but today those thoughts left immediately after they entered my brain. they kept gaining on me like the whole time haha but I wasn't giving up today. then my the final loop, prolly like 300 meters or something, they were right next to me. almost all the schools there were rooting for me and it was actually the coolest thing, everybody was cheering soooo loud. I stuck right next to sam and whenever she tried to pass me i pushed and stayed in there (plus I was like "i led the whole entire race I cant loose in the last 100m cuz that would be sad" haha). probably had my best finish ever so that was cool haha. swag jess is the region 9 champ :) also I dont think my form sucked that bad so I'm muy happy about that k bye haha thx for reading this <3

oh fun story for ya. last night me and brook noticed that that part of the floor in our bedroom was kinda wet, then we realized all of the floor was soaking wet lol. my mom and dad came down and we starting hauling everything out of my room we had to take apart my bed our dressers the bookcase, everything. then we ripped up the carpet and discovered the the floor had tons of water everywhere. and we still dont know exactly how it got there haha. my mom ran the carpet cleaner over it like a billion times and got like 20+ gallons of water off the floor. then my room was an empty concrete room and now there are ginormous fans in it trying to dry the floor and walls and stuff. luckily nick and alex are moved out cuz were crashing in their room for awhile. that's all haha hope you enjoyed my cool story

pm- state! i was super excited and then super nervous and then super excited again haha. got a good start with al and then didnt know what to do. i wasnt supposed to kill the first mile so i backed off a little and that was a huuuuuuuge mistake. i shouldve been a little reserved like coach said but not back off as much as i did. also my legs felt so so tired the whole time. today was just not my day. also the front group all basically ran the race alone so that didnt help. i like to race alone sometimes but only if im alone by myself haha. girls ended 2nd which we beat ourselves up about at first but once we looked at the bigger picture we realized that even though it wasnt what we wanted, 2nd at state is pretty dang good. congrats to al for balling it up and beating my school record and to the boys cuz theyre state champs!! also s/o to my brother @xctrackjewels for being an INDIVIDUAL STATE CHAMP!!! thats so freakin dope. following in nicks footsteps :')) haha. i love my team and we gave it our all. we all tried our very best we could for today and i couldnt be prouder <33

pm- easy run. FINALLY CHILLED haha. I love going fast on every run even when people get mad at me and I do it quite often. however, this past week I've been soooo sore and my legs have been soooo tired. robs said we just need to learn how to chill. today i decided i was not gonna kill it and dont get me wrong we def still had a good pace but we took it down a notch and finally recovered a little haha. me and ry tried to catch some lizards but missed um #bumma. went my very least favorite run ever but today I was actually positive about it and it was aight.

technically jada is veronica. it started at the run a thon 2 years ago. jada started pretending to be our dance teacher and called us Veronica's dance academy bc she was veronica in her xc skit. now it's called veronicas dance company cuz were pros now and we just teach each other and make up dances and perform and be swag

am- 20 easy. it was FREEZING and its st george. geez I better move to the sun

pm- beast and feast and 50 with a few race pace fartleks. they were good and easy. good run and we had roast and potatoes for dinner which is my fav and my room got new carpet so we can put our room back together and move out of the boys room. yayyyyyyy good day :)

pm- 45 easy and then 4 race paced striders after. today's run was good

meeting before. robs always says very good things.

I need advice. i was just looking at pics from NXR last year and it started to make me really nervous about NXR this Saturday. robs talked kinda about this today and I'm not nervous about going fast or going faster then I ever have, it's just a big scary race with a lot on the line and I wanna do big things and make my coaches and everybody pround. #stressed plz help haha :)

pm- first day back to running for a couple weeks! usually its super duper hard to feel good running again and it was dont get me wrong, but by the end i actually felt pretty good. easy 30 today. also robs passed out again but hes ok so thats good

pm- 30 and 5 minutes of strides. felt alright today. not super. striders were real hard but i felt good.

 man today was such a good day. ALL of my grades went up, i beat aubrey in a math test and got 15.5/16 which is sick cuz the past 2 tests have been the first tests ive passed since like 8th grade (which means im getting smarter, hopefully), we did nothing in my classes (exept for apush of course, the grind never stops), me and nick and my dad went to lunch which was swaggy and me and jason gave a wonderful devotional in seminary. wow today was good

also josie and carson came to practice, good, and robs was gone, bad :(

really hard workout thingy after but it was swaggy and i feel accomplished now

am- no running today. woke up with a super sore throat, body aches and a high fever. went up north and went to a Christmas party with my cousins and then slept on my grandma's coach the rest of the day while everybody went and had fun lol. had a fever allllll day

its Sunday now and I still feel terrible but quite a bit better then yesterday.
